Symposium - International Astronomical Union, 1983 A brief review is given of the morphology of barred galaxies, following Kormendy (1981, 1982). The features illustrated include bulges, bars, disks, lenses, and inner and outer rings.Most of the paper is devoted to a detailed discussion of the absorption-line velocity field of the prototypical SBO galaxy NGC 936.

The kinematics and dynamics of the rich cluster of galaxies Abell 539
The Astronomical Journal, 1988 A sample of 289 redshifts within 10 deg of the center of the cluster A539 have been obtained in order to investigate the cluster kinematics and dynamics. Within 1 Mpc of the center, the physical parameters of A539 are found to be typical of those of rich clusters.

The Dynamics of the Dwarf Elliptical Galaxy FS 76: Bridging the Kinematic Dichotomy between Elliptical and Dwarf Elliptical Galaxies [PDF]
The Astrophysical Journal, 2001 We present major- and minor-axis kinematics out to ˜2 half-light radii for the bright (MB = -16.7) dwarf elliptical galaxy (dE) FS 76, a member of the NGC 5044 group. Its velocity dispersion is 46 ‘ 2 km s-1 in the center and rises to 70 ‘ 10 km s-1 at half-light radius. Beyond 1Re, the dispersion starts to fall again.
