Distribution of Merging and Post-merger Galaxies in Nearby Galaxy Clusters
We study the incidence and spatial distribution of galaxies that are currently undergoing gravitational merging (M) or that have signs of being post-merger (PM) in six galaxy clusters (A754, A2399, A2670, A3558, A3562, and A3716) within the redshift ...

Building dwarf galaxies out of merged young star clusters [PDF]
Young star clusters in interacting galaxies are often found in groups or clusters of star clusters containing up to 100 single clusters. In our project we study the future fate of these clusters of star clusters. We find that the star clusters merge on time scales of a few dynamical crossing times of the super-cluster.

We investigate when and how the relations of galaxy morphology and star-forming activity with clustercentric radius become evident in galaxy clusters. We identify 162 galaxy clusters with total mass ${{M}}_{\mathrm{tot}}^{\mathrm{cl}}\gt 5\times {10}^{13}

Galaxy clusters morphology with Zernike polynomials: The first application on Planck Compton parameter maps [PDF]
The study of the morphology of 2D projected maps of galaxy clusters is a suitable approach to infer, from real data, the dynamical state of those systems.

Using the Outskirts of Galaxy Clusters to Determine Their Mass Accretion Rate
We explore the possibility of using the external regions of galaxy clusters to measure their mass accretion rate (MAR). The main goal is to provide a method to observationally investigate the growth of structures on the nonlinear scales of galaxy ...

The luminosity dependence of clustering [PDF]
The PSCz redshift survey and the ongoing Two-Degree Field Galaxy Redshift Survey (2dFGRS) are used to look for luminosity dependence of galaxy clustering by measuring the two point correlation functions for sub-samples of the surveys. An analysis of the PSCz survey finds that galaxies with cooler colours are more strongly clustered than warmer ...
