Galaxy Activity in Merging Binary Galaxy Clusters [PDF]
We present the results of a study of galaxy activity in two merging binary clusters (A168 and A1750) using the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) data supplemented with the data in the literature.

Targeted decrease of portal hepatic pressure gradient improves ascites control after TIPS
The river diagram demonstrates that after transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunt insertion (TIPS) the majority of patients without ascites and 50% of the patients with ascites detectable at ultrasound, show the best response in the long term follow‐up.

Janus kinase 2 inhibition by pacritinib as potential therapeutic target for liver fibrosis
Diagram of the activation of the profibrotic and procontractile Janus kinase 2 (JAK2)/Ras homolog family member A/Rho‐kinase pathway and the inhibition of phosphorylated JAK2 by pacritinib to inhibit hepatic stellate cell activity. Abstract Background and Aims Janus kinase 2 (JAK2) signaling is increased in human and experimental liver fibrosis with ...

Cluster–galaxy weak lensing [PDF]
AbstractWeak gravitational lensing of background galaxies provides a direct probe of the projected matter distribution in and around galaxy clusters. Here, we present a self-contained pedagogical review of cluster–galaxy weak lensing, covering a range of topics relevant to its cosmological and astrophysical applications.

Accretion of galaxy groups into galaxy clusters [PDF]
ABSTRACT We study the role of group infall in the assembly and dynamics of galaxy clusters in ΛCDM. We select 10 clusters with virial mass M200 ∼ 1014 $\rm M_\odot$ from the cosmological hydrodynamical simulation Illustris and follow their galaxies with stellar mass M⋆ ≥ 1.5 × 108 $\rm M_\odot$.

THE CRITERIA FOR MORPHOLOGICAL CLASSIFICATION OF PF GALAXY CLUSTERS
The morphological types of galaxy clusters resulting from their out ward appearance is physically related to the clusters and their member galaxies. Presented here is an adopted system of morphological types of galaxy clusters based on the Zwicky, Boutz ...

A fraction of merging galaxy clusters host diffuse radio emission in their central region, termed a giant radio halo (GRH). The most promising mechanism of GRHs is the reacceleration of nonthermal electrons and positrons by merger-induced turbulence ...

Unravelling the origin of large-scale magnetic fields in galaxy clusters and beyond through Faraday Rotation Measures with the SKA [PDF]
We investigate the possibility for the SKA to detect and study the magnetic fields in galaxy clusters and in the less dense environments surrounding them using Faraday Rotation Measures.
