Comparative Genomic and Mitochondrial Phylogenetic Relationships of Ovulidae (Mollusca: Gastropoda) Along the Chinese Coast

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2025.
This study explores the phylogeny and mitochondrial genomics of Ovulidae, a family of marine gastropods related to Cypraeidae, by analyzing mitochondrial genomes from 14 of 15 species collected off China's coast. Key findings include the reclassification of genera Naviculavolva and Contrasimnia to the subfamily Prionovolvinae, evidence against the ...

Mitochondrial Genomes of Three Melampus Species (Ellobiidae; Gastropoda)

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 4, April 2025.
The mitochondrial genomes of three gastropod species from the family Ellobiidae—Melampus bidentatus, Melampus jaumei, and Melampus gundlachi—were assembled and annotated and found to have a gene order that diverges from the conserved gene order that is recovered in most genera within Ellobiidae and—more generally—within Euthyneura.

An Efficient Multi‐Core DSP Power Management Controller

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2025.
This work proposes a power management controller for multi‐core DSP architectures, specifically designed for FT‐xDSP. The primary contributions include a clamp request control unit to ensure system stability during asynchronous resets, and a configurable state transition counter that optimizes clock transitions.

A Continuous 150‐kyr Record of Geomagnetic Field Variations From Lake Chala, Eastern Equatorial Africa

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 26, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract Records of geomagnetic field variations from continental Africa are sparse yet provide a key dating tool for low‐latitude paleoclimatic changes. Long‐lived tectonic and crater lakes in eastern tropical Africa potentially provide important, long (>100,000 years, kyrs) and continuous sedimentary records of African monsoonal climate over past ...

Ionospheric D Region: Characteristics Near Dawn and Dusk

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 130, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract The characteristics of very low frequency (VLF) radio wave propagation in the Earth‐ionosphere waveguide are determined particularly through dawn and dusk using phase and amplitude measurements of man‐made signals propagating below the ionospheric D region. For the first time variations of “Wait” height and sharpness parameters, H' and β, have
