Edible Pneumatic Battery for Sustained and Repeated Robot Actuation
This work presents an edible energy source and valve system to power soft, pneumatically driven edible robots. A chemical reaction between sodium bicarbonate and citric acid generates carbon dioxide gas, and a pressure‐triggered edible valve enables self‐repetitive motion of the edible actuator.

The Importance of Gas Starvation in Driving Satellite Quenching in Galaxy Groups at z ~ 0.8
We present results from a Keck/DEIMOS survey to study satellite quenching in group environments at z ~ 0.8 within the Extended Groth Strip (EGS). We target 11 groups in the EGS with extended X-ray emission. We obtain high-quality spectroscopic redshifts

Galaxy Pairs in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey - II: The Effect of Environment on Interactions
We use a sample of close galaxy pairs selected from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 4 (SDSS DR4) to investigate in what environments galaxy mergers occur and how the results of these mergers depend on differences in local galaxy density.

Measures of galaxy environment - I. What is ‘environment’?
The influence of a galaxy's environment on its evolution has been studied and compared extensively in the literature, although differing techniques are often used to define environment. Most methods fall into two broad groups: those that use nearest neighbours to probe the underlying density field and those that use fixed apertures.

Diversity and Ecological Potentials of Marine Viruses Inhabiting Continental Shelf Seas
To the best of the knowledge, this study provides the largest viral genome dataset from a continental shelf sea. It reveals that over half of vOTUs are novel, highlighting the remarkable viral novelty in the eastern continental shelf seas of China (ECSSC).

The SAGA Survey. VI. The Size–Mass Relation for Low-mass Galaxies Across Environments
We investigate how Milky Way (MW)–like environments influence the sizes and structural properties of low-mass galaxies by comparing satellites of MW analogs from the Satellites Around Galactic Analogs (SAGA) Survey with two control samples: an ...

The WiggleZ Dark Energy Survey: Galaxy Evolution at 0.25 ≤ z ≤ 0.75 Using the Second Red-Sequence Cluster Survey [PDF]
We study the evolution of galaxy populations around the spectroscopic WiggleZ sample of star-forming galaxies at 0.25 ≤ z ≤ 0.75 using the photometric catalog from the Second Red-Sequence Cluster Survey (RCS2). We probe the optical photometric properties

The epochs of early-type galaxy formation as a function of environment [PDF]
The aim of this paper is to set constraints of the epochs of early-type galaxy formation through the 'archaeology' of the stellar populations in local galaxies.

A microneedle spoilage sensor for packaged food products is presented. The sensor is composed entirely of food‐derived agents, integrated together using a novel material processing approach. This resultant platform nondestructively reports spoilage state in real‐time through a colorimetric output.

The relationship between galaxy size and environment has remained enigmatic, with over a decade of conflicting results. We present one of the first comprehensive studies of the variation of galaxy radius with environment beyond the local Universe and ...
