We present an analysis of the quenching of star formation in massive galaxies ( M _* > 10 ^9.5 M _⊙ ) within the first 0.5–3 Gyr of the Universe’s history utilizing JWST-CEERS data.

Observing Correlations Between Dark Matter Accretion and Galaxy Growth: I. Recent Star Formation Activity in Isolated Milky Way-Mass Galaxies [PDF]
The correlation between fresh gas accretion onto haloes and galaxy star formation is critical to understanding galaxy formation. Different theoretical models have predicted different correlation strengths between halo accretion rates and galaxy star formation rates, ranging from strong positive correlations to little or no correlation. Here, we present

Mapping Global Star Formation in the Interacting Galaxy Pair Arp32 [PDF]
A multi-wavelength set of photometric data including UV (GALEX), optical, near-IR, infrared (Spitzer) and radio (VLA 20cm) images and spectroscopic observations are used to map the dust-obscured and unobscured star formation in the galaxy pair Arp 32 ...

Gas-Rich Companions of Isolated Galaxies [PDF]
We have used the VLA to search for gaseous remnants of the galaxy formation process around six extremely isolated galaxies. We found two distinct HI clouds around each of two galaxies in our sample (UGC 9762 & UGC 11124).

Scintillation Response of 0D Cs3Cu2I5 Thin Layers to Light‐ and Heavy‐Ion Irradiation
Driven by increasing interest in uncovering the remarkable photoluminescence quantum yield of Cs3Cu2I5, polycrystalline thin layers are synthesized to investigate its radioluminescence response to energetic ions. Its spectroscopic capability is assessed in a wide range of ion mass and internal excitation processes are explored.

Can Cosmological Simulations Reproduce the Spectroscopically Confirmed Galaxies Seen at z ≥ 10?
Recent photometric detections of extreme ( z > 10) redshift galaxies from the JWST have been shown to be in strong tension with existing simulation models for galaxy formation and in the most acute case, in tension with ΛCDM itself.

Genomic Insights into Post‐Domestication Expansion and Selection of Body Size in Ponies
The authors’ research delves into the history of ponies by assembling a pony genome and integrating horse genomes. This unveils genetic connections between Asian and European pony breeds. Cis‐regulatory elements of key genes impacting body size are also identified.

Deep Learning for Galaxy Mergers in the Galaxy Main Sequence [PDF]
Starburst galaxies are often found to be the result of galaxy mergers. As a result, galaxy mergers are often believed to lie above the galaxy main sequence: the tight correlation between stellar mass and star formation rate.
