Ionised gas structure of 100 kpc in an over-dense region of the galaxy group COSMOS-Gr30 at z ~ 0.7 [PDF]
We report the discovery of a 10^4 kpc^2 gaseous structure detected in [OII] in an over-dense region of the COSMOS-Gr30 galaxy group at z~0.725 thanks to deep MUSE Guaranteed Time Observations.

Galaxy groups can be characterized by the radius of decoupling from cosmic expansion, the radius of the caustic of second turnaround, and the velocity dispersion of galaxies within this latter radius. These parameters can be a challenge to measure, especially for small groups with few members.

Galaxy interactions II: High density environments [PDF]
With the aim to assess the role of dense environments in galaxy interactions, properties we present an analysis of close galaxy pairs in groups and clusters, obtained from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 7 (SDSS-DR7).

Studying the late evolution of a radio-loud AGN in a galaxy group with LOFAR [PDF]
Feedback by radio-loud active galactic nuclei (AGNs) in galaxy groups is not fully understood. Open questions include the duty cycle of the AGN, the spatial extent of the radio lobes, the effect they have on the intragroup medium and the fate of the ...

Compact Groups Of Galaxies [PDF]
This paper reviews some of the outstanding questions concerning compact groups of galaxies. These relate to the physical nature and dynamical status of the groups, their formation and evolution, and their role in galaxy evolution. The picture that emerges is that compact groups are generally physically dense systems, although often contaminated by ...

NGC 741—Mergers and AGN Feedback on a Galaxy-group Scale [PDF]
Low-mass galaxy cluster systems and groups will play an essential role in upcoming cosmological studies, such as those to be carried out with eROSITA. Though the effects of active galactic nuclei (AGNs) and merging processes are of special importance to ...
