Introduction: the (im)material spectrum of manuscript and print interaction☆
Abstract This introductory essay to the special issue on Early Modern English Textual Cultures Between Manuscript and Print first outlines previous research into different kinds of interaction between manuscript and print. Examples of this interplay include, for instance, the transmission of text and images from one medium into another, the use of ...

Caxton's Afterlife in Manuscript (c.1475‐c.1500)
Abstract At least thirty‐five manuscript copies of Caxton's prints have been found so far. This article explores the implications of such manuscript copies of Caxton's prints and, interrupting the linear history of the book, considers Caxton's appeal beyond print in manuscript.

Mass growth of massive quiescent galaxies in the Illustris TNG simulation
Interactions between galaxies could potentially lead to increased rates of star formation within these galaxies, potentially leading to the occurrence of multiple core-collapse supernovae and the ejection of hot gas.

Quasar evolution via galaxy mergers
The expected evolution of quasars is calculated using the dynamics of merging galaxies and the assumption that the birth rate of quasars is proportional to the rate of mergers. The merger rate is described using a modification of the Press-Schechter theory. As a specific model, the luminosity of a quasar is assumed to be proportional to its host galaxy'

Abstract Central artery stiffening increases the haemodynamic pulsations transmitted downstream towards target organs, including the brain. While recent evidence suggests that long duration spaceflight is associated with reduced common carotid artery (CCA) distensibility, cerebrovascular pulsatility has not been extensively characterized in astronauts.

Mergers and Recoil in Triple Massive Black Hole Systems from Illustris
Massive black hole binaries (MBHBs) form through galaxy mergers and are among the loudest sources of gravitational waves (GWs) in the Universe. If the binary inspiral time is long, a subsequent galaxy merger can introduce a third black hole, forming a ...

Spaceborne and spaceborn: Physiological aspects of pregnancy and birth during interplanetary flight
Abstract Crewed interplanetary return missions that are on the planning horizon will take years, more than enough time for initiation and completion of a pregnancy. Pregnancy is viewed as a sequence of processes – fertilization, blastocyst formation, implantation, gastrulation, placentation, organogenesis, gross morphogenesis, birth and neonatal ...

BASS. LIV. Physical Properties of AGN-hosting Galaxy Mergers from Multiwavelength SED Fitting
Galaxy mergers are believed to play an important role in triggering rapid supermassive black hole (SMBH) growth. As merging nuclei approach each other, the physical properties of the participating galaxies and the associated SMBH growth are expected to ...
