Irreducible Galeazzi Fracture-Dislocations [PDF]

open access: yesHand, 2019
Background: Fractures of the radial shaft with disruption of the distal radial ulnar joint (DRUJ) or Galeazzi fractures are treated with reduction of the radius followed by stability assessment of the DRUJ. In rare instances, the reduction of the DRUJ is blocked by interposed structures requiring open reduction of this joint.

Case Report of Simultaneous Galeazzi Fracture Dislocation and Ipsilateral Scaphoid Fracture [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Case Reports
Introduction: Although the Galeazzi fracture-dislocation is an uncommon forearm fracture in adults, scaphoid fracture is not a rare finding. Even though both injuries may result from the same mechanism, there is only one report in the literature ...

Persistent distal radioulnar joint dislocation after surgical treatment of Galeazzi fracture-dislocation: A case report and review of the literature [PDF]

open access: yesTrauma Case Reports
Galeazzi fracture-dislocation is a complex injury involving a distal radius fracture and distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ) dislocation, typically treated through surgical intervention.

Arthroscopic reduction of an irreducible distal radioulnar joint in Galeazzi fracture-dislocation due to a fragment of the ulnar styloid: a case report [PDF]

open access: yesBMC Musculoskeletal Disorders, 2019
Background There are only a few published case reports of irreducible Galeazzi fracture-dislocation, and patients in these studies had undergone reduction by open surgical methods.

A Case of Bilateral Galeazzi Fracture-Dislocations. [PDF]

open access: yesCureus, 2021
Bilateral Galeazzi fracture-dislocations are extremely rare injuries and only a few case reports have been described so far in the literature. Herein, we report the case of a 31-year-old bicyclist who sustained bilateral Galeazzi fracture-dislocations after a collision with a car.

Ballistic Galeazzi Fractures: A Case Series [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Case Reports
Introduction: Galeazzi fractures, defined as fractures of the radial shaft with associated dislocation of the distal radioulnar joint (DRUJ), are uncommon injuries typically caused by high-energy blunt trauma or falls onto an outstretched hand. Ballistic

Rare pediatric Galeazzi lesion with progressive wrist deformity [PDF]

open access: yesCase Reports in Plastic Surgery & Hand Surgery
Galeazzi injuries are rare in early childhood and may be missed at initial presentation. Undiagnosed instability of the distal radioulnar joint can lead to progressive deformity and functional impairment. We report a rare case of Galeazzi injury in early
