Accelerating Conjugate Gradient Solvers for Homogenization Problems With Unitary Neural Operators
ABSTRACT Rapid and reliable solvers for parametric partial differential equations (PDEs) are needed in many scientific and engineering disciplines. For example, there is a growing demand for composites and architected materials with heterogeneous microstructures.

A Guide to Localized Frames and Applications to Galerkin-like Representations of Operators
This chapter offers a detailed survey on intrinsically localized frames and the corresponding matrix representation of operators. We re-investigate the properties of localized frames and the associated Banach spaces in full detail.

In this paper, we discuss the superconvergence of the local discontinuous Galerkin methods for nonlinear convection-diffusion equations. We prove that the numerical solution is ( k + 3 / 2 ) $(k+3/2)$ th-order superconvergent to a particular projection ...

ABSTRACT This work presents novel structure‐preserving formulations for stable model order reduction in the context of time‐domain room acoustics simulations. A solution to address the instability in conventional model order reduction formulations based on the Linearized Euler Equations is derived and validated through numerical experiments.

In this paper, we propose the local discontinuous Galerkin method based on the generalized alternating numerical flux for solving the one-dimensional second-order wave equation with the periodic boundary conditions.

A local projection stabilization/continuous Galerkin–Petrov method for incompressible flow problems
The local projection stabilization (LPS) method in space is consid-ered to approximate the evolutionary Oseen equations. Optimal error bounds independent of the viscosity parameter are obtained in the continuous-in-time case for the approximations of both velocity and pressure.

The SERS spectra of reporter molecules adsorbed on chiral gold nanorods depends on the handedness of circularly polarized light (CPL‐SERS). The bisignate plasmonic CD spectra of chiral nanorods provides wavelength‐dependent CPL‐SERS. Selective discrimination of chiral nanorod handedness and different Raman reporters allow highly sensitive codification ...

This study carefully examines the mixed convection heat transport properties of a water–Al2O3 nanofluid inside a corrugated chamber with heated baffles in the shape of a star. The effects of different Rayleigh numbers, nanoparticle volume fractions, and baffle placement are carefully evaluated, and the cavity is subjected to buoyancy forces. The finite

On Multiscale Methods in Petrov-Galerkin formulation [PDF]
In this work we investigate the advantages of multiscale methods in Petrov-Galerkin (PG) formulation in a general framework. The framework is based on a localized orthogonal decomposition of a high dimensional solution space into a low dimensional ...
