Light and Dark Cycles Control the Structural Evolution of Photoresponsive Supramolecular Systems

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 31, 27 July 2026.
Here, we report a photoswitchable synthetic peptide that, under light energy cycles, exhibits supramolecular polymorphism coupled to darkness‐driven structural self‐selection. We demonstrate that light sustains a transient assembled state in the form of helical nanoribbons, hindering the system from undergoing a transition to the disassembled state ...

Negotiation‐Aware Optimization Approach for Multi‐Stakeholder Agricultural Land Reallocation: A Case Study in Iran

open access: yesTransactions in GIS, Volume 30, Issue 5, August 2026.
ABSTRACT Land consolidation aims to mitigate fragmentation, enhance efficiency, and improve agricultural productivity, yet fragmented holdings often increase costs and reduce land use efficiency. This study introduces a hybrid three‐stage GeoAI framework that combines spatial evaluation, individual preference modeling, and cooperative negotiation to ...

The Cavβ4 subunit of Cav1.2 channels antagonizes isoproterenol‐induced hypertrophy in rat cardiac muscle cells by down‐regulating miR‐183‐5p

open access: yesPhysiological Reports, Volume 14, Issue 15, August 2026.
Abstract The Cavβ4 subunit of voltage‐gated Cav1.2 channels regulates gene expression in neurons and cardiac cells. It increases the expression of interferon‐β–related genes in H9c2 cardiomyocytes derived from rat ventricular tissue, but the possibility that it also regulates the expression of microRNAs (miRs) remains unexplored.

Scientific assessment of the 2024 post‐market environmental monitoring report on the cultivation of genetically modified maize MON 810 in the EU

open access: yesEFSA Journal, Volume 24, Issue 8, August 2026.
Abstract At the request of the European Commission, EFSA assessed the 2024 post‐market environmental monitoring (PMEM) report on the cultivation of genetically modified maize MON 810, which expresses the Cry1Ab protein. Using a weight‐of‐evidence approach and considering information provided by the consent holder and the Competent Authorities of ...
