A Multifrequency Global View of Callisto’s Thermal Properties from ALMA
We present thermal observations of Callisto’s leading and trailing hemispheres obtained using the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA) at 0.87 mm (343 GHz), 1.3 mm (233 GHz), and 3 mm (97 GHz).

Temporal Changes in Europa's Ice Shell Thickness: Insights From Models of Convection
Abstract Europa is characterized by a thin ice Ih shell overlying a subsurface ocean and a large solid core. Estimates of the outer ice shell's thickness range from a few kilometers to several tens of kilometers, with strong implications for Europa's thermal and geological history.

Control networks for the Galilean satellites, November 1979 [PDF]
Pictures of the four Galilean satellites taken as the two Voyager spacecraft approached Jupiter during March and July 1979 are presented. Control nets of the Galilean satellites, computed photogrammetrically, and measurements of the mean radii are ...

Revealing Callisto’s Near-subsurface Thermophysical Properties with ALMA Calibration Data
Thermal images at different wavelengths probe varying subsurface depths of planetary bodies and therefore can inform us about their compositions, thermophysical properties, and impact histories.

Callisto’s Nonresonant Orbit as an Outcome of Circum-Jovian Disk Substructure
The Galilean moons of Io, Europa, and Ganymede exhibit a 4:2:1 commensurability in their mean motions, a configuration known as the Laplace resonance. The prevailing view for the origin of this three-body resonance involves the convergent migration of ...

Impact of Jupiter’s Heating and Self-shadowing on the Jovian Circumplanetary Disk Structure
Deciphering the structure of the circumplanetary disk (CPD) that surrounded Jupiter at the end of its formation is key to understanding how the Galilean moons formed.
