A HISTORICAL INSTITUTIONALIST ACCOUNT OF GALILEO SATELLITE NAVIGATION.
This dissertation addresses the development of the Galileo satellite navigation system, specifically the cases of France and Italy. It uses historical institutionalism to illustrate how institutional changes centered on the European Union caused this change. It also contributes to historical institutionalism by introducing speed controls.
