Relativistic positioning: four-dimensional numerical approach in Minkowski space-time [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We simulate the satellite constellations of two Global Navigation Satellite Systems: Galileo (EU) and GPS (USA). Satellite motions are described in the Schwarzschild space-time produced by an idealized spherically symmetric non rotating Earth. The trajectories are then circumferences centered at the same point as Earth.

Legal Aspects of European Satellite Navigation Systems in a Time of Change [PDF]

open access: yesStudia Iuridica Lublinensia, 2023
Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) is an important tool in supporting innovation and developing the economy. The European Union has created two systems: Galileo and EGNOS (European Geostationary Navigation Overlay Service), which enable the ...

Probing the Flyby Anomaly with the future STE-QUEST mission [PDF]

open access: yesPlanetary and Space Science, Volumes 79-80, May 2013, Pages 76-81, 2012
In this study, we demonstrate that the flyby anomaly, an unexpected acceleration detected in some of the gravitational assists of the Galileo, NEAR, Cassini and Rosetta spacecraft, could be probed by accurate orbital tracking available in the proposed Space-Time Explorer and Quantum Equivalence Principle Space Test (STE- QUEST); following a recent work,

Assessing IGS GPS/Galileo/BDS-2/BDS-3 phase bias products with PRIDE PPP-AR

open access: yesSatellite Navigation, 2021
Ambiguity Resolution in Precise Point Positioning (PPP-AR) is important to achieving high-precision positioning in wide areas. The International GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) Service (IGS) and some other academic organizations have begun to ...

Performance Assessment of BDS-2/BDS-3/GPS/Galileo Attitude Determination Based on the Single-Differenced Model with Common-Clock Receivers

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2021
Global navigation satellite system (GNSS)-based attitude determination has been widely applied in a variety of fields due to its high precision, no error accumulation, low power consumption, and low cost. Recently, the emergence of common-clock receivers

Evalution of the Accuracy and Performance of Multi-GNSS (MGEX) Positioning for Long Baselines by Using Different Software [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science, 2023
The Global Positioning System (GPS) is a GNSS constellation, but GNSS is not always GPS. GPS is one of the GNSS constellations used around the world. The GNSS constellations include GPS (US), QZSS (Japan), Beidou/BDS (China), Galileo (EU), and GLONASS ...

Performance evaluation of multi-GNSSs navigation in super synchronous transfer orbit and geostationary earth orbit

open access: yesSatellite Navigation, 2021
The autonomous navigation of the spacecrafts in High Elliptic Orbit (HEO), Geostationary Earth Orbit (GEO) and Geostationary Transfer Orbit (GTO) based on Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) are considered feasible in many studies.
