Gallbladder cancer often presents with advanced disease. When found early, surgery can be curative for this particular malignancy. Prognostic factors that influence the success of aggressive surgical therapy include depth of invasion, extent of hepatic infiltration, histologic grade, presence of venous, lymphatic or perineural invasion, and lymph node ...

Although standard management includes reresection to remove sites at risk of harboring residual disease and to achieve negative resection margin status, the decision to ...

The gallbladder is located at the inferior surface of the liver, just outside the quadrate lobe and lies in the depression in the liver, called the fossa felea. The peritoneum which clothes the liver at his inferior surface is somewhat elevated to envelop also the gallbladder, pressing her against the liver. The form of the bladder is peer-like.
