Controllability Aspects of the Korteweg-de Vries Burgers Equation on Unbounded Domains [PDF]
The aim of this work is to consider the controllability problem of the linear system associated to Korteweg-de Vries Burgers equation posed in the whole real line. We obtain a sort of exact controllability for solutions in $L^2_{loc}(\R^2)$ by deriving an internal observability inequality and a Global Carlemann estimate.

ABSTRACT Building upon the upper echelons theory, this study investigates the effects of CEO characteristics—in terms of age, gender, and human capital (legal background, educational level, and industry expertise)—on CSR reporting assurance. Using a combination of GMM and logistic regression, it analyzes a sample of non‐financial Italian publicly ...

Abstract To date, not much research has been devoted to analyzing the impact of some corporate governance mechanisms (board diversity and CEO duality) on corporate risk. Consequently, we believe that it is necessary to study such topic in greater depth.

Stable rank of down-up algebras [PDF]
We investigate the behavior of finitely generated projective modules over a down-up algebra. Specifically, we show that every noetherian down-up algebra $A(\alpha,\beta,\gamma)$ has a non-free, stably free right ideal. Further, we compute the stable rank of these algebras using Stafford's Stable Range Theorem and Kmax dimension.

On Fermat's principle for causal curves in time oriented Finsler spacetimes [PDF]
In this work, a version of Fermat's principle for causal curves with the same energy in time orientable Finsler spacetimes is proved. We calculate the secondvariation of the {\it time arrival functional} along a geodesic in terms of the index form associated with the Finsler spacetime Lagrangian.

The cultural dimensions of sustainable development: A cross‐country configurational analysis
Abstract Our research emphasizes the need to explore the importance of cross‐country cultural differences in shaping sustainable development. We employ the fuzzy set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) to analyze cross‐national data, focusing on the relationship between Hofstede's six cultural dimensions and the sustainable development goals (SDGs)

The Relevance of Board Diversity Features in a Weak Institutional Business Environment
ABSTRACT The board diversity literature continues to advance a simplistic but empirically unsubstantiated rhetoric of the board diversity accountability, economic benefits and its relationship with other firm characteristics. Yet, less is understood about which board diversity features actually matter for business decision‐making, especially in weak ...
