In vitro anticariogenic effect of gallic acid against Streptococcus mutans [PDF]
445-451Involvement of Streptococcus mutans in the pathogenesis of dental caries among human populations is well established. Here, we studied the effect of gallic acid, a naturally occurring polyphenol on certain cariogenic activities of S.

In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

Preliminary Study On Bioceramics Containing Gallic Acid [PDF]
The aims of this study are to investigate the probability of Gallic Acid to be introduced into different type bioceramic materials such as HAp, α -TCP and β -TCP. To achieve this aims, soaking time of bioceramics in gallic acid solution and concentration

Septin 9 polybasic domains couple phosphoinositide‐rich membrane binding to centrosome positioning, Golgi organization, and microtubule acetylation to control epithelial polarity. Their loss disrupts this axis, causing centrosome mispositioning, Golgi fragmentation, reduced microtubule acetylation, and polarity inversion via upregulation of the ...

The Gallic Acid–Phospholipid Complex Improved the Antioxidant Potential of Gallic Acid by Enhancing Its Bioavailability [PDF]
Gallic acid (GA) is well known for its antioxidant and hepatoprotective activity, though its effectiveness is restricted due to rapid metabolism and elimination. To overcome these problems, gallic acid-phospholipid complex was prepared and the effect of phospholipid complexation was investigated on carbon tetrachloride (CCl4)-induced oxidative damage ...

An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...
