Local Representations of Galois Groups

The Annals of Mathematics, 1969
The purpose of this paper is to present some infinite Galois extensions of algebraic number fields, whose Galois groups possess some matrix representations in local fields, through which the Frobenius automorphisms have algebraic numbers of absolute value N(p)A/2 as characteristic roots.

Deforming Galois Representations

1989
Given a continuous homomorphism $${G_{Q,S}}G{L_2}\left( {{Z_p}} \right)$$ where Gℚ,S is the Galois group of the maximal algebraic extension of ℚ unramified outside the finite set S of primes of ℚ, the motivating problem of this paper is to study, in a systematic way, the possible liftings of ρ to p-adic representations, $${G_{Q,S}}\mathop ...

Moduli of Galois Representations

Publications of the Research Institute for Mathematical Sciences, 2017
We develop a theory of moduli of Galois representations. More generally, for an object in a rather general class \mathfrak A of noncommutative topological rings, we construct a moduli space of its absolutely irreducible representations of a fixed ...

Deformations of Galois Representations

2013
These lecture notes give an introduction to deformations of Galois representations with an eye toward the application of this theory in the proof of the Serre conjecture [29, 30] by Khare–Wintenberger. There exist several other surveys such as [18, 23, 37, 40].
