Fluorine‐Decorated Metal‐Organic Framework Separators Enable Ion‐Screening Effects for Dendrite‐Free Zinc Deposition

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 1, January 2026.
The fluorine‐functionalized UIO‐66‐4F/GF composite separator combats zinc dendrites and side reactions in AZIBs through triple synergistic strategies. Its ordered nanopores electrostatically repel SO42−, reducing sulfate concentration. Surface fluorine groups accelerate Zn2+ desolvation via ion coordination, inhibiting water decomposition.

Surface Evolution and Corrosion Response of SLM–Cast Hybrid Aluminium Alloys Before and After Electrochemical Exposure

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 1, January 2026.
Hybrid aluminium structures combining SLM and casting exhibit distinct corrosion behaviors linked to microstructural features. Electrochemical testing and surface analyses revealed that finer, uniformly dispersed grains enhance passivation and reduce corrosion rates, while coarser‐grained regions show greater susceptibility to localized attack ...

Effects of Pellet Size and Layering Structure of Pellet‐Type Anode on Performance and Efficiency of Rechargeable Aluminum–Air Battery

open access: yesEnergy Technology, Volume 14, Issue 1, January 2026.
The effects of pellet size and layering in pellet‐type anodes are systematically evaluated in aluminum–air batteries. Structural optimization improves discharge efficiency and energy utilization. Larger pellet sizes and bi‐layered structures enhance ion diffusionand decrease resistance.
