Micromachined Double‐Membrane Mechanically Tunable Metamaterial for Thermal Infrared Filtering
Herein, a mechanically tunable double‐layer plasmonic metamaterial leveraging the extraordinary optical transmission effect observed in subwavelength arrays of openings within thin metal layers is presented. The concept is experimentally validated by integrating the proposed metamaterial structure into an electrostatic parallel‐plate actuator to create

Galvanically Isolated Modular Converter
The ever increasing penetration of renewable energy systems in the distribution grids will inevitably require profound changes in the grid infrastructure. One emerging direction, the medium voltage dc (MVdc) grids, is the cornerstone of this work. They are foreseen for offshore wind parks and onshore large scale renewables collection grids, future on ...

Multipolar Resonances in Electro‐Optic Metasurfaces with Moderate Refractive Index
Electro‐optic nanoantennas with moderate refractive indices of 2.3 to 3.0 are numerically shown to sustain strong multipolar resonances, enabling efficient light confinement and EO tuning. Multipolar modes of even parity are most sensitive to variations in the refractive index.
