The use of multiplayer game theory in the modeling of biological populations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The use of game theory in modeling the natural world is widespread. However, this modeling mainly involves two player games only, or "playing the field" games where an individual plays against an entire (infinite) population.

A Bayesian Ensemble Regression Framework on the Angry Birds Game [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
An ensemble inference mechanism is proposed on the Angry Birds domain. It is based on an efficient tree structure for encoding and representing game screenshots, where it exploits its enhanced modeling capability.

Visual Recovery Reflects Cortical MeCP2 Sensitivity in Rett Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Rett syndrome (RTT) is a devastating neurodevelopmental disorder with developmental regression affecting motor, sensory, and cognitive functions. Sensory disruptions contribute to the complex behavioral and cognitive difficulties and represent an important target for therapeutic interventions.

Habitat associations of six‐lined racerunners in longleaf pine managed with a short fire rotation for northern bobwhites

open access: yesEcosphere
The longleaf pine (Pinus palustris) savanna ecosystem is an imperiled, fire‐dominated community that supports exceptionally high levels of species richness and endemism.

Photonic Engineering Enables All‐Passive Upconversion Imaging with Low‐Intensity Near‐Infrared Light

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A passive upconversion imaging system enables the observation of scenes illuminated by low‐intensity incoherent near‐infrared light from 750 to 930 nm, by converting it into the visible without the use of external power. The upconverter is enabled by triplet–triplet annihilation in a bulk heterojunction, with absorption enhanced by plasmonic resonators

Viral pathogen detection in U.S. game-farm mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) flags spillover risk to wild birds

open access: yesFrontiers in Veterinary Science
The threat posed by emerging infectious diseases is a major concern for global public health, animal health and food security, and the role of birds in transmission is increasingly under scrutiny.

Flappy Bird Game

open access: yesINTERANTIONAL JOURNAL OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH IN ENGINEERING AND MANAGEMENT, 2022
We are all accustomed to playing this game. The player's primary goal in this game is to protect the bird from obstacles while racking up as many points as possible. Here, we'll use Python to create our own Flappy Bird game. To make this Flappy Bird game, we used the Python module Pygame.

Spectrally Tunable 2D Material‐Based Infrared Photodetectors for Intelligent Optoelectronics

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Intelligent optoelectronics through spectral engineering of 2D material‐based infrared photodetectors. Abstract The evolution of intelligent optoelectronic systems is driven by artificial intelligence (AI). However, their practical realization hinges on the ability to dynamically capture and process optical signals across a broad infrared (IR) spectrum.

CLASSIFICATION OF METHODS FOR THE PREVENTION AND CORRECTION OF INJURIOUS PECKING IN GAME BIRDS AND POULTRY

open access: yesTrakia Journal of Sciences
The fight to control injurious pecking in routine practice in game birds (pheasants, partridges, quails, etc.) or in poultry (chickens, ducks, turkeys, etc.) farming is divided into two basic groups of methods.
