Game Theory Application of Resilience Community Road-Bridge Transportation System [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
This thesis considers the problem of game theory application in resilience-based road-bridge transportation network. Bridges in a community may be owned and maintained by separated entities.

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

The Present and Future of Game Theory [PDF]

open access: yes
A broad nontechnical coverage of many of the developments in game theory since the 1950s is given together with some comments on important open problems and where some of the developments may take place.

Mechanical Fatigue in Liquid‐Metal Interconnects: Failure Mechanism Analysis and Validation of Improvement Strategies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Multi‐million cycle reliability for liquid metal stretchable electronics is achieved through a continuous cycle of mechanical testing, failure mode and mechanism analysis and implementing subsequent mitigation strategies. ABSTRACT Stretchable electronics that combine mechanical compliance with reliable electrical performance are essential for ...

Decentralized Resource Allocation for Interdependent Infrastructure Networks Restoration: A Game Theory Approach [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
Critical infrastructures are governed by several sectors working together to maintain social, economic and environmental well-being. These infrastructures are interdependent and rely on a complex schedule of repair after a disruptive event.

3D Printed Omniphobic Slippery Liquid Infused Porous Surfaces for Low Surface Tension Repellency

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A 3D printing strategy fabricates omniphobic slippery liquid‐infused porous structures with lubricant reservoirs and interconnected microchannels. A post‐printing surface treatment modifies the porous surface to ensure compatibility with the infused fluorinated lubricant.

Handbook of Game Theory and Industrial Organization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Industrial organization studies how markets allocate resources, specifically when there are few agents or when there are frictions that render the price-taking paradigm unsuitable. Game theory studies situations in which agents interact strategically and

Information Transmission Strategies for Self‐Organized Robotic Aggregation

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
In this review, we discuss how information transmission influences the neighbor‐based self‐organized aggregation of swarm robots. We focus specifically on local interactions regarding information transfer and categorize previous studies based on the functions of the information exchanged.

Piezoresistivity Enhancement by Graphite Flake Alignment in Thin Composite Films for Dielectric Elastomer Switches

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article presents dielectric elastomer switch (DES) materials, based on composite thin films. Alignment of graphite flakes due to their physical confinement within the thin films lead to much stronger piezoresistive responses than bulk composites, while their durability exceeds that of conventional liquid‐based DES materials.

Climate Change and Game Theory

open access: yes
This survey paper examines the problem of achieving global cooperation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Contributions to this problem are reviewed from non-cooperative game theory, cooperative game theory, and implementation theory. Solutions to games
