Determination of the measurement threshold in gamma-ray spectrometry
Applied Radiation and Isotopes, 2017In gamma-ray spectrometry the measurement threshold describes the lover boundary of the interval of peak areas originating in the response of the spectrometer to gamma-rays from the sample measured. In this sense it presents a generalization of the net indication corresponding to the decision threshold, which is the measurement threshold at the ...

Radon gamma-ray spectrometry with YAP:Ce scintillator
Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 2002The detection properties of a YAP:Ce scintillator (YAlO3:Ce crystal) optically coupled to a Hamamatsu H5784 photomultiplier with standard bialkali photocathode have been analyzed. In particular, the application to radon and radon-daughters gamma-ray spectrometry was investigated.

Linssi: Database for gamma-ray spectrometry
Journal of Radioanalytical and Nuclear Chemistry, 2008Linssi is a Structured Query Language (SQL) database for HPGe gamma-ray spectrometry. It covers the whole production chain from sample preparation to final analysis results. Static or mobile sampling and measurement and multiple sample types are supported. In addition, each sample can be split or combined any number of times.

Coincidence summing of X- and gamma-rays in gamma-ray spectrometry
2007A new method for theoretical calculation of coincidence summing of X- and gamma rays for germanium spectrometers has been presented. The counting rate equations, derived by this method, enable to determinate peak efficiencies as well as the activity of the source.
