Influenza Vaccination Responses in Disabled Stroke Patients: A Single‐Center Prospective Observational Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This study aimed to investigate the immunological response to influenza vaccination, the incidence and severity of influenza infection, and the side effects of the vaccination in patients with ischemic stroke. Methods This prospective observational study was conducted between 2023 and 2024 at Ramathibodi Hospital.

Unraveling 4‐Phenylbutyrate's Therapeutic Role in SLC6A1 Disorders: Pharmacochaperoning Over HDAC Inhibition

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Variants in SLC6A1, encoding the GABA transporter 1 (GAT‐1), cause epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder, and developmental delay via loss of GABA uptake, impaired trafficking, and ER retention. We previously found that 4‐Phenylbutyrate (PBA), an FDA‐approved drug, restores GABA uptake and reduces seizures in SLC6A1‐related disorders ...

On the Definition of Higher Gamma Functions

open access: yesConstructive Approximation
We generalize our previous new definition of Euler Gamma function to higher Gamma functions. With this unified approach, we characterize Barnes higher Gamma functions, Mellin Gamma functions, Barnes multiple Gamma functions, Jackson $q$-Gamma function, and Nishizawa higher $q$-Gamma functions. This approach extends to more general functional equations.

A New Lower Bound in the Second Kershaw's Double Inequality

open access: yes, 2007
In the paper, a new and elegant lower bound in the second Kershaw’s double inequality is established, some alternative simple and polished proofs are given, several deduced functions involving the gamma and psi functions are proved to be decreasingly ...

Developing and Evaluating a Laboratory‐Based Frailty Index for the Prediction of Long‐Term Health Outcomes in Systemic Lupus Erythematosus

open access: yesArthritis Care &Research, EarlyView.
Objective We aimed to construct and evaluate the first laboratory‐based frailty index (FI‐Lab) for predicting adverse outcomes in systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and to compare its predictive ability to that of an existing clinical FI. Methods We used data from a single‐center prospective cohort of adult patients with SLE whose baseline visit ...

A Completely Monotonic Function Involving Divided Differences of Psi and Polygamma Functions and an Application

open access: yes, 2006
A function involving the divided differences of the psi function and the polygamma functions is proved to be completely monotonic. As an application of this result, the monotonicity and convexity of a function originated from establishing the best ...

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, Volume 39, Issue 3, Page 566-581, March 2025.
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.
