Improving Neutron-Gamma Discrimination with Stilbene Organic Scintillation Detector Using Blind Nonnegative Matrix and Tensor Factorization Methods

open access: yesJournal of Spectroscopy, 2019
In order to perform highly qualified neutron-gamma discrimination in mixed radiation field, we investigate the application of blind source separation methods based on nonnegative matrix and tensor factorization algorithms as new and robust neutron-gamma ...

Extended matrix variate gamma and beta functions

open access: yesJournal of Multivariate Analysis, 2013
The paper presents preliminaries involving functions of an matrix argument in order to prepare an apparatus for a matrix variate distribution theory. As an illustration the probability density function of the sum in Theorem 6.1 is found. In Theorem 6.2 the expected value involving two independent random matrices is derived.

Tumor Microenvironment-Associated Extracellular Matrix Components Regulate NK Cell Function

open access: yesFrontiers in Immunology, 2020
The tumor microenvironment (TME) is composed of multiple infiltrating host cells (e.g., endothelial cells, fibroblasts, lymphocytes, and myeloid cells), extracellular matrix, and various secreted or cell membrane-presented molecules.

Properties of Matrix Variate Confluent Hypergeometric Function Distribution

open access: yesJournal of Probability and Statistics, 2016
We study matrix variate confluent hypergeometric function kind 1 distribution which is a generalization of the matrix variate gamma distribution. We give several properties of this distribution. We also derive density functions of X2-1/2X1X2-1/2, (X1+X2)-

$L^p$-improving properties of certain singular measures on the Heisenberg group [PDF]

open access: yesMathematica Bohemica, 2022
Let $\mu_A$ be the singular measure on the Heisenberg group $\mathbb{H}^n$ supported on the graph of the quadratic function $\varphi(y) = y^tAy$, where $A$ is a $2n \times2n$ real symmetric matrix. If $\det(2A \pm J) \neq0$, we prove that the operator of

Function correction and Lagrange – Jacobi type interpolation [PDF]

open access: yesИзвестия Саратовского университета. Новая серия: Математика. Механика. Информатика, 2023
It is well-known that the Lagrange interpolation based on the Chebyshev nodes may be divergent everywhere (for arbitrary nodes, almost everywhere), like the Fourier series of a summable function.
