The connection between the radio jet and the gamma-ray emission in the radio galaxy 3C 120 [PDF]
We present the analysis of the radio jet evolution of the radio galaxy 3C 120 during a period of prolonged gamma-ray activity detected by the Fermi satellite between December 2012 and October 2014.

Objective Cognitive impairment (CI) is common in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Despite its prevalence, the immune mechanisms are not well understood. We previously reported elevated serum levels of S100A8/A9 and matrix metalloproteinase 9 (MMP‐9) in patients with SLE and CI.

More than fifty years have elapsed from the first discovery of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) with American Vela satellites, and more than twenty-five years from the discovery with the BeppoSAX satellite of the first X-ray afterglow of a GRB.

Gamma-ray luminosity properties of gamma-ray pulsars [PDF]
Based on a new self-consistent outer gap model, we statistically study luminosity properties of gamma-ray pulsars with ages of less than or equal to2 x 10(7) yr in the Galaxy as well as those with ages of less than or equal to5 x 10(6) yr in the Gould belt using a Monte Carlo method, where the gamma-ray beaming effect has been included.

Gamma Rays from Star Formation in Clusters of Galaxies
Star formation in galaxies is observed to be associated with gamma-ray emission. The detection of gamma rays from star-forming galaxies by the Fermi Large Area Telescope (LAT) has allowed the determination of a functional relationship between star ...

The extragalactic gamma-ray sky: A view on the most powerful phenomena in the universe
The gamma-ray sky provides a look into the most energetic and violent processes of the universe. In the last years, gamma-ray satellites are scanning the sky for understanding the physics governing the gamma-ray emission.

MoO3-TeO2 glass system for gamma ray shielding applications
This paper examines the gamma-ray shielding features of some selected tellurite-based glasses in the form of xMoO _3 (100−x)TeO _2 (20 ≤ x ≤ 50 mol%). Mass attenuation coefficients ( μ _m ) of these glasses have been calculated using Geant4 toolkit and ...

Fermi Large Area Telescope Observations of the Cygnus Loop Supernova Remnant
We present an analysis of the gamma-ray measurements by the Large Area Telescope(LAT) onboard the \textit{Fermi Gamma-ray Space Telescope} in the region of the supernova remnant(SNR) Cygnus Loop(G74.0$-$8.5).

Indirect detection of neutralino dark matter candidates in anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking scenarios [PDF]
We consider a model for neutralino dark matter candidates arising in anomaly-mediated supersymmetry breaking schemes, and examine its testability through the search for exotic cosmic rays produced by neutralino pair annihilations in the dark halo of the ...
