FeDSNP‐Pa, a metallized nanoparticle loaded with sodium pyruvate (Pa), exerts triple therapeutic effects by scavenging reactive oxygen species (ROS), suppressing inflammatory responses, and inhibiting pyroptosis signaling pathways. This multifunctional neuroprotective strategy protecting retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) from elevated intraocular pressure ...

Black hole X-ray binaries (BHXBs) are observed in various wavelengths from radio to GeV gamma rays. Several BHXBs, including MAXI J1820+070 and Cygnus X-1, are also found to emit ultrahigh-energy (UHE; photon energy > 100 TeV) gamma rays.

This study demonstrates that the dual delivery of BMP‐2/‐7 coding cmRNAs for bone healing is demonstrated as feasible, safe, and highly osteogenic. Compared to single BMP‐2 or BMP‐7 cmRNAs, the combination enhances the production of both mineral and organic components of the extracellular matrix when delivered using a collagen‐HA scaffold, supporting ...

A 3D bone scaffold with osteogenic properties and capable of hardening in vivo is developed. The scaffold is implanted in a ductile state, and a phase transformation of the ceramic induces the stiffening and strengthening of the scaffold in vivo. Abstract Calcium phosphate 3D printing has revolutionized customized bone grafting.

Monte Carlo calibration of the SMM gamma ray spectrometer for high energy gamma rays and neutrons [PDF]
The Gamma Ray Spectrometer (GRS) on the Solar Maximum Mission spacecraft was primarily designed and calibrated for nuclear gamma ray line measurements, but also has a high energy mode which allows the detection of gamma rays at energies above 10 MeV and ...

COSMIC-RAYS AND GAMMA RAY BURSTS
Cosmic-rays are subatomic particles of energies ranging between a few eV to hundreds of TeV. These particles register a power-law spectrum, and it seems that most of them originate from astrophysical galactic and extragalactic sources. The shock acceleration in superalfvenic astrophysical plasmas, is believed to be the main mechanism responsible for ...

Defect Analysis of the β– to γ–Ga2O3 Phase Transition
The role of defects at all the relevant stages of the β$\beta$‐ to γ$\gamma$‐Ga2O3 polymorph transition is investigated using a multi method approach. The positron annihilation spectroscopy based results show that the defect density decreases after the transition, and that changes in defect configuration within the γ phase occur with increasing ...

Modulating Electrochemical CO2 Reduction Pathways via Interfacial Electric Field
Engineering interfacial electric fields in Cu/ITO electrodes enables precise control of CO2 reduction pathways. Charge transfer from Cu to ITO generates positively charged Cu species that steer selectivity from ethylene toward methane. This work demonstrates how interfacial electric‐field modulation can direct reaction intermediates and transform ...
