Gamma-ray luminosity properties of gamma-ray pulsars [PDF]

Based on a new self-consistent outer gap model, we statistically study luminosity properties of gamma-ray pulsars with ages of less than or equal to2 x 10(7) yr in the Galaxy as well as those with ages of less than or equal to5 x 10(6) yr in the Gould belt using a Monte Carlo method, where the gamma-ray beaming effect has been included.

Conserved binding mode but diverse interfaces of MreC‐PBP2 interactions

The crystal structure of abMreC reveals a conserved two β‐barrel architecture and provides structural insights into its role within the bacterial elongasome. The abMreC–abPBP2 complex model identifies the molecular basis of MreC‐mediated PBP2 recognition, contributing to the regulation of peptidoglycan synthesis.

The extragalactic gamma-ray sky is dominated by two classes of sources: Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) and radio loud active galactic nuclei whose jets are pointing at us (blazars). We believe that the radiation we receive from them originates from the transformation of bulk relativistic energy into random energy.

An astrophysics application of a low noise Double-sided Silicon Strip Detector (DSSD) is described. A Semiconductor Multiple-Compton Telescope (SMCT) is being developed to explore the gamma-ray universe in the 0.1-20 MeV energy band. Excellent energy resolution and polarization sensitivity are key features of the SMCT.
