Colonic Ganglioneuroma

Archives of Surgery, 1980
Ganglioneuromas are neuroectodermal tumors that are found in diverse anatomic sites, but they are very uncommon in the colon. We observed a patient with partial colonic obstruction whose roentgenogram had a napkin-ring construction that was thought to be carcinoma. On resection, pathologic examination showed a ganglioneuroma.

Sacrococcygeal Ganglioneuroma

Journal of Spinal Disorders & Techniques, 2002
Ganglioneuromas are benign slow-growing masses that can be treated with complete surgical extirpation without any adjuvant therapy. Such lesions involving the sacrococcygeal region are exceedingly rare. The authors present the case of a 70-year-old woman with a sacrococcygeal ganglioneuroma treated by total en bloc resection.

Trieeminal ganglioneuroma

Brain Tumor Pathology, 1999
We present the case of an 8-year-old girl with a ganglioneuroma in the left cerebellopontine angle region. The tumor originated from the sensory root of the trigeminal nerve. Histopathologically, it was composed of neoplastic ganglion cells and Schwann cells, leading us to the diagnosis of ganglioneuroma. Intracranial ganglioneuroma is very rare.

Giant spinal ganglioneuroma

Journal of Clinical Neuroscience, 2005
Ganglioneuromas are rare benign tumours, which may affect any part of the spine and spinal cord. They occasionally grow to a large size but total excision using microsurgical techniques is often possible, and may be curative. This case report illustrates the clinical and histopathological features of two rare giant ganglioneuromas of the spinal cord.
