Peripheral nerve injury is a significant problem affecting greater that 1 million people around the world each year and poses major challenges to the plastic and reconstructive surgeon. When primary nerve repair is not possible, several options for management of the nerve gap include a nerve autograft, nerve conduit, and acellular nerve allograft.

2014This paper explores a syntactic configuration of Bavarian (“Bavarian extraction” (BE)) in which an XP is extracted from a fronted embedded clause and placed in a position in front of that clause. In addition to the gap in the fronted embedded clause, a further gap may be licensed in this construction that represents a position in the matrix clause.
