CHEMICAL FERTILITY OF GARDEN SOILS IN SOUTH TOGO: ANALYSIS, CORRELATIONS AND REASONED PROPOSAL OF FERTILIZERS RATE FOR EFFICIENT PRODUCTION OF SPINACIA OLERACEA L.

open access: greenAgricultura, 2020
In this study, a sample of 12 garden soils were analyzed and compared to quality standards. A reasoned fertilization method was developed using online software "Fertilizer Rate Calculator". Results indicate that among macronutrients, those of potassium are very high and even tend to exceed standard.

Altitude and management affect soil fertility, leaf nutrient status and Xanthomonas wilt prevalence in enset gardens [PDF]

open access: yesSOIL, 2021
Abstract. Enset (Ensete ventricosum) is a productive, drought-tolerant and multipurpose food security crop grown in the densely populated Ethiopian highlands. It is a so-called orphan crop, and its production suffers from a lack of information on proper soil fertility management and its interaction with bacterial wilt disease caused by the pathogen ...
