Ultra‐Wide‐Field Noninvasive Imaging Through Scattering Media Via Physics‐Guided Deep Learning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We propose a physics‐guided adaptive dual‐domain learning method for ultra‐wide‐field noninvasive imaging through scattering media, namely UNI‐Net. Our method not only reduces the requirement for real experimental data by an order of magnitude but also enables clear imaging of complex scenes with an ultra‐large field of view, which is 164 times the OME

Enhancing Blood Circulation With Epsilon‐Near‐Zero (ENZ) Materials via the Far‐Infrared Window of Human Skin

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Epsilon‐near‐zero (ENZ) silicon carbide enables a selective far‐infrared emitter spectrally aligned with the human skin window around 10 µm for wavelength‐matched thermal therapy. In 25 within‐subject trials (50 hands) monitored by laser speckle contrast imaging, SiC increases blood perfusion by 30.2% versus a broadband graphite emitter while ...

Assessment of the Extent of Implementation of Quality Management System (QMS) and Cost of Quality (COQ) Concepts – A Case from a Developing Country

open access: yesThe Journal of Engineering Research, 2017
In developed countries, the application of the quality management system (QMS) is widely proven. However, in developing countries, like Pakistan, industries are not mature enough to understand and implement the system. The aim of this study is to examine

The Garments of Humility

open access: yesRevista Comunicación
If we think about it, it is easy to find plenty of reasons to be humble. Life and human work are tiny and irrelevant compared to the grand scale of the cosmos. Human beings are fallible beings, full of flaws and errors. Forces and agencies other than our own (i.e., mentors, coaches, parents, friends, partners, etc.) are often involved in our ...

Reinforcement structure design and matrix model establishment of tubular 3D weaving based on ordinary loom

open access: yesFashion and Textiles
In order to optimize the design of three-dimensional tubular woven (3DTW), a design method and matrix model of 3DTW were proposed based on normal loom, where 3D woven was used as tube wall and the weaving method of tubular fabric was applied.

Embedded Direct‐Written Organic Micro‐TEGs for High‐Efficiency Skin‐Heat Harvesting

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A finite‐element–guided design of direct‐written organic micro‐thermoelectric generators is presented for efficient skin‐heat harvesting. Embedding PEDOT:PSS/PBFDO thermoelectric legs within flexible substrates suppresses interfacial heat losses and enhances vertical heat flow.
