Gas-water two-phase productivity prediction model of multistage fractured horizontal wells in anisotropic tight sandstone gas reservoirs

open access: yesYouqi dizhi yu caishoulu
Tight sandstone gas reservoirs have the characteristics of poor physical properties of the reservoir, complex pore throat structure, strong anisotropy, and extensive coverage of initial water saturation, which lead to the complex flow mechanism of fluids

Evaluation of Mixture Viscosity Models in the Prediction of Two-phase Flow Pressure Drops

open access: yesASEAN Journal on Science and Technology for Development, 2012
Nine existing mixture viscosity models were tested for predicting a two-phase pressure drop for oil-water flow and refrigerant (R.134a) flow. The predicted data calculated by using these mixture viscosity models were compared with experimental data ...

Vision based experimental investigation of two-phase flow in a rising pipe [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
Multiphase pipeline flow is very important to oil, gas and process industry. This is a class of problems where comprehensive simulations, although desirable on physical grounds, are not practical due to the large aspect ratio between the pipe length and ...

Time‐restricted feeding prior to Mycobacterium tuberculosis infection reduces tissue CD4+ T cells with limited impact on bacterial clearance

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐restricted feeding (TRF) in mice increased liver fatty acid oxidation and decreased fatty acid biosynthesis. These alterations persisted when TRF was discontinued and the host was infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pre‐exposure to TRF did not alter tissue (lung and spleen) mycobacterial burden but significantly reduced CD3+ T cells in lungs

A new practical method for reserve estimation and production forecast of gas wells exhibiting gas–water two-phase flow

open access: yesJournal of Petroleum Exploration and Production Technology
This paper addresses the challenge of reserve estimation and production forecasting for gas wells affected by gas–water two-phase boundary dominated flow (BDF).

Design and Construction of a Two-Phase Flow Homogenizer Loop for Volume Fraction Measurement in Solid-Liquid as Well as Liquid-Liquid Mixtures by γ-Ray Attenuation Technique [PDF]

open access: yesمجله علوم و فنون هسته‌ای, 2016
Multiphase flow metering, has been one of the most important issues in oil/gas industry, since the early 80s. Oil-water two-phase flow, shows off specially in flow meters that work based on separation of oil-water-gas three-phase flow into liquid (oil ...

The effect of tube diameter on vertical two-phase flow regimes in small tubes

open access: yes, 2006
Flow boiling flow patterns in four circular tubes with internal diameters of 1.10, 2.01, 2.88 and 4.26 mm were investigated in the present project. The experiments were conducted in vertical upward two-phase flow using R134a as the working fluid.

Cyclic azapeptide CD36 ligand attenuates cardiac injury and reduces long‐chain fatty acid accumulation after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion in mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Gamma radiation methods for clamp-on multiphase flow metering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
The development of a cost-effective multiphase flow meter to determine the individual phase flow rates of oil, water and gas was investigated through the exploitation of a single clamp-on gamma densitometer and signal processing techniques.

Turbulent bubbly flow in pipe under gravity and microgravity conditions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
Experiments on vertical turbulent flow with millimetric bubbles, under three gravity conditions, upward, downward and microgravity flows (1g, -1g and 0g), have been performed to understand the influence of gravity upon the flow structure and the phase ...
