On the Accuracy of Discontinuous Galerkin Method Calculating Gas-Dynamic Shock Waves

Doklady Mathematics, 2023
The results of a numerical calculation of gas-dynamic shock waves that arise when solving the Cauchy problem with smooth periodic initial data are presented using three variants of the DG (Discontinuous Galerkin) method, in which the solution is sought in the form of a piecewise linear discontinuous function.

ON THE INTEGRAL CONVERGENCE OF NUMERICAL SCHEMES CALCULATING GAS-DYNAMIC SHOCK WAVES

Доклады Российской академии наук. Математика, информатика, процессы управления, 2023
A comparative experimental accuracy study of shock-capturing schemes such as RBM(Rusanov-Burstein-Mirin), CWA(Compact high order Weak Approximation) and A-WENO(Alternative Weighted Essentially Non-Oscillatory) schemes is carried out by numerically solving a Cauchy problem with smooth periodic initial data for the Euler equations of gas dynamics.

Kinetic algorithms for calculating gas dynamic flows

USSR Computational Mathematics and Mathematical Physics, 1985
Abstract Differential-difference systems of equations for describing gas-dynamic flows are obtained on the basis of a kinetic model. Methods of calculation are considered and examples of the numerical solution of several problems are presented.

On the Accuracy of Shock-Capturing Schemes Calculating Gas-Dynamic Shock Waves

Журнал вычислительной математики и математической физики, 2023
A comparative experimental accuracy study of three shock-capturing schemes (the second-order CABARET, third-order Rusanov, and fifth-order in space third-order in time A-WENO schemes) is carried out by numerically solving a Cauchy problem with smooth periodic initial data for the Euler equations of gas dynamics.

AN ACCURATE SCHEME FOR GAS DYNAMICAL CALCULATIONS

International Journal of Computational Engineering Science, 2003
An accurate numerical method is developed for computing inviscid flows containing discontinuities. The method is based on flux vector splitting (FVS) and a third-order accurate upwind-biased compact finite-difference scheme. Two different flux splitting techniques, namely, the kinetic flux vector splitting (KFVS) and van Leer's flux splitting, are used
