Influence of recovery model of coalbed methane wells after drainage interruption on coal fines migration in propped fractures

open access: yesMeikuang Anquan
In the drainage process of coalbed methane well, the interruption of drainage will induce a large amount of coal fines to stay in propped fractures, causing damage to the permeability of propped fractures. Based on the solid-liquid two-phase flow and gas-

Steam generators two phase flows numerical simulation with liquid and gas momentum equations [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
International audienceThis work takes place in steam generators flow studies and we consider here steady state three dimensional two-phase (liquid and gas) flows. The main goal is to improve the modeling of kinetic imbalance between the phases.

CO2 Reduction on Copper‐Nitrogen‐Doped Carbon Catalysts Tuned by Pulsed Potential Electrolysis: Effect of Pulse Potential

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that pulsed potential electrolysis significantly improves CO2 reduction performance on copper‐nitrogen doped carbon electrodes. The formation of cationic copper sites and metallic clusters as a function of applied intermittent potential leads to notable selectivity changes compared to potentiostatic reduction.

Fast‐Responding O2 Gas Sensor Based on Luminescent Europium Metal‐Organic Frameworks (MOF‐76)

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Luminescent MOF‐76 materials based on Eu(III) and mixed Eu(III)/Y(III) show rapid and reversible changes in emission intensity in response to O2 with very short response times. The effect is based on triplet quenching of the linker ligands that act as photosensitizers. Average emission lifetimes of a few milliseconds turn out to be mostly unaffected by

Measurement of Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow in Draft Tube

open access: yesShanghai Jiaotong Daxue xuebao
The limitation of traditional measurement technology in gas-liquid two-phase flow measurement is broken through. The liquid velocity field and vortex rope morphology from two vertical directions were measured synchronically by using particle image ...

CFD simulation of bubbly two-phase flow in horizontal pipes [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
Modeling of two phase flow, particularly liquid-vapor flow under diabatic conditions inside a horizontal pipe using CFD simulation is difficult with the available two phase models in FLUENT due to continuously changing flow patterns.

Electroactive Metal–Organic Frameworks for Electrocatalysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Electrocatalysis is crucial in sustainable energy conversion as it enables efficient chemical transformations. The review discusses how metal–organic frameworks can revolutionize this field by offering tailorable structures and active site tunability, enabling efficient and selective electrocatalytic processes.

Effect of Flow on Caloric Curve for Finite Nuclei

open access: yes, 1997
In a finite temperature Thomas-Fermi theory, we construct caloric curves for finite nuclei enclosed in a freeze-out volume few times the normal nuclear volume, with and without inclusion of flow.
