Hydrodynamics of vertical two-phase gas-liquid flow
Experimental Thermal and Fluid Science, 1993Hydrodynamics of gas-liquid flow was investigated in vertical pipes of different diameters. Both upward and downward flows were studied in bubbly regime. Local flow parameters (liquid velocity, void fraction, wall shear stress, fluctuation intensities) were measured using an electrodiffusional method.

Flow regimes in two-phase gas-liquid flow
International Journal of Multiphase Flow, 1993Experimental data were determined for co-current air-water horizontal flow in a 0.0935 m i.d. pipe. The flow patterns were identified by a combination of visual/video observations, the pressure fluctuation characteristics and a detailed examination of the pressure loss and holdup data. The results together with previous work at 0.0454 m i.d.

Gas–liquid two-phase flow in microchannels
International Journal of Multiphase Flow, 1999Abstract Capillary gas–liquid two-phase flow occurs in increasingly more modern industrial applications. The existing relevant data are limited and are inconsistent with respect to the reported flow patterns and their transition boundaries. A systematic experimental investigation of two-phase flow patterns in microchannels was the objective of this ...

Bubble and liquid flow characteristics of bubble-driven gas–liquid two-phase flows observed in various types of reactors in materials processing operations are introduced with many exercises. Heat and mass transfer from a solid body immersed in a molten metal bath is also discussed.
