Study on the induced noise of gas–liquid two-phase flow in a centrifugal pump

, 2021
With a wide application of multiphase flow pumps, it is obvious that the flow-induced noise in the transportation of gas–liquid two-phase media is turning more and more into the focus. To study the influence of different inlet gas volume fractions (IGVFs)

Flow structure of gas–liquid two-phase flow in an annulus

Chemical Engineering Science, 2008
The flow structure of gas--liquid two-phase flow in vertical annulus channel has been investigated. The inner and outer diameters of the annular channel were 19.1 and 38.1 mm, respectively. The total height of the test section was 4.37 m. Nineteen inlet flow conditions were selected, which cover bubbly, cap-slug, and churn-turbulent flows.

Hydrodynamics of vertical two-phase gas-liquid flow

Experimental Thermal and Fluid Science, 1993
Hydrodynamics of gas-liquid flow was investigated in vertical pipes of different diameters. Both upward and downward flows were studied in bubbly regime. Local flow parameters (liquid velocity, void fraction, wall shear stress, fluctuation intensities) were measured using an electrodiffusional method.

Flow regimes in two-phase gas-liquid flow

International Journal of Multiphase Flow, 1993
Experimental data were determined for co-current air-water horizontal flow in a 0.0935 m i.d. pipe. The flow patterns were identified by a combination of visual/video observations, the pressure fluctuation characteristics and a detailed examination of the pressure loss and holdup data. The results together with previous work at 0.0454 m i.d.

Robust bubble feature extraction in gas-liquid two-phase flow using object detection technique

Journal of Nuclear Science and Technology, 2020
Identification of flow regime and feature extraction of bubble characteristics in gas-liquid two-phase flow systems have been significant issues in various engineering disciplines, including nuclear thermal-hydraulics field.

Identification of gas-liquid two-phase flow patterns in dust scrubber based on wavelet energy entropy and recurrence analysis characteristics

Chemical Engineering and Science, 2020
For a wet dust scrubber, dust collection efficiency is tightly connected with the gas-liquid two-phase flow pattern. Using the characteristic parameters selected by current flow pattern identification methods, regions of significant coincidence exist ...

Liquid flow measurement using phase isolation and an imaging method in horizontal gas–liquid two-phase flow

Measurement science and technology, 2020
A new imaging method based on phase isolation for the liquid flow measurement of gas–liquid two-phase flow is proposed in this study. A swirler is arranged upstream to isolate two-phase fluids.

Gas-Liquid Two-Phase Flow in Pipelines

SPE Annual Technical Conference and Exhibition, 1990
ABSTRACT A combined theoretical and experimental investigation to study the behaviour and characteristics of gas-liquid two-phase flow in horizontal pipelines is described in this paper. A simple theoretical model was developed to provide predictions of liquid hold-up in equilibrium stratified two-phase flow regimes and ...
