Numerical Modeling of Dependence of Separative Power of the Gas Centrifuge on the Length of Rotor [PDF]
Numerical modelling and optimization of the gas flow and isotope separation in the Iguasu gas centrifuge (GC) for uranium enrichment have been performed for different lengths of the rotor.

Dynamics of a Vertical Unbalanced Gas Centrifuge Supported by Magnetic Bearings
The gas centrifuge is modeled as a rigid rotor supported by two magnetic bearings with eight-pole structures. To describe the system dynamics, the coupled nonlinear ordinary differential equations (ODE) of the second order are derived, to solve which the

Thermally Induced Flow in Gas Centrifuge, (I) [PDF]
Centrifugally driven thermal convection near the cooled rotor conver of a centrifuge is treated. Boundary layer equations are reduced to ordinary differential equations by the Lees-Levy transformation, and solved numerically by applying the quasilinearization method. Sample solutions for radial and azimuthal velocity profiles are presented.

In a murine model of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion (MI/R), the CD36 azapeptide ligand MPE‐298 reduces cardiac injury and transiently lowers left ventricular long‐chain fatty acids (LCFAs) accumulation 3 h after reperfusion, accompanied by a decrease of oxidative stress and inflammation‐associated genes' expression in the heart and adipose tissue.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

Importin 7 mediates the nuclear import of HIV‐1 integrase via a specific interacting interface
HIV‐1 integrase enables viral DNA integration into the host genome. By binding to the core domain of the host protein Importin 7 via its C‐terminal domain, the integrase is transported across the nuclear membrane into the nucleus, where integration of the viral genome into host DNA takes place. This translocation is a critical step for subsequent viral

Efficiency criteria for optimization of separation cascades for uranium enrichment
As it is known, uranium enrichment is carried out on industrial scale by means of multistage separation facilities, i.e., separation cascades in which gas centrifuges (GCs) are connected in series and parallel. Design and construction of these facilities

The computer simulation of 3d gas dynamics in a gas centrifuge
We argue on the basis of the results of 2D analysis of the gas flow in gas centrifuges that a reliable calculation of the circulation of the gas and gas content in the gas centrifuge is possible only in frameworks of 3D numerical simulation of gas dynamics in the gas centrifuge (hereafter GC). The group from National research nuclear university, MEPhI,

Evaluating the effect of γ‐oryzanol on MASLD pathology using a medaka fish model
This study explores a liver disease called MASLD, which is increasing worldwide and can lead to serious damage. Researchers used medaka fish instead of rodents to test a food compound, γ‐oryzanol. Fish fed this compound had less liver fat and healthier gut bacteria.
