Gas Compressor Station Rebuild
4th International Pipeline Conference, Parts A and B, 2002Gas Compressor Station design, procurement, construction and commissioning normally takes well over 12 months. Earth Tech recently redesigned, procured, rebuilt and commissioned in 5 months, a new 14 MW/19,000 HP turbine driven gas compressor station near Red Bluff – California. This was a fast paced EPCM project.

Wet Gas Compressor Testing – Performance Uncertainty
Volume 10: Fluids Engineering, 2020Abstract Based on experience from wet gas compressor testing at NTNU (low-pressure air-water fluid) and K-Lab full-scale testing (normal operating conditions, high pressure and hydrocarbon fluids), this paper documents important aspects relating to the uncertainty evaluation of wet gas compressor performance test results ...

Gas Compressor Service With Turbo Compressors
2004 International Pipeline Conference, Volumes 1, 2, and 3, 2004Gas pipeline projects are capital intensive and normally are developed under scenarios of uncertainty. Such uncertainties vary from closing take-or-pay, ship-or-pay or delivery-or-pay agreements to those uncertainties related to the acquisition of equipments, material and construction and assembling contracts.

Cleaning Gas Turbine Compressors
Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology, 1983While the hot‐end of a gas turbine, with its high thermal stresses and vulnerability to excessive exhaust gas temperatures, tends to attract most attention from the aircraft engineer, it is the compressor which is the dominant factor in aircraft gas turbine performance. This is particularly true of smaller types of engine and older designs.

Gas compressors are mainly used in chemical and petrochemical industries; air compressors are widely used in every kind of industries for different purposes. Air compressor applications may be broadly classified as follows: (1) providing power, as in tools or other machines and in control systems for HVAC and for industrial equipment; (2) handling ...

Hybrid control of gas compressors
1999 European Control Conference (ECC), 1999In this paper a problem of industrial interest is presented: the control of an industrial gas compressor. The main feature of the problem is that the throughput of a gas compressor is limited both above and below. When the compressor should supply a lower flow rate, an additional valve must be opened.

Wet Gas Compressor Surge Stability
Volume 9: Oil and Gas Applications; Supercritical CO2 Power Cycles; Wind Energy, 2015The new wet gas compression technology provides a big potential for improved recovery from new and depleting gas/condensate fields. The current technology is based on centrifugal and axial compressor principles, which offers both the benefits of well-known concept design and the drawbacks of erosion, fouling, surge and instabilities ...

Vent Gas Collection From Gas Compressor Dry Gas Seals
Volume 7: Turbo Expo 2004, 2004Gasum is an importer of natural gas and is operating and maintaining the Finnish transmission pipeline in which the pressure is maintained with three compressor stations. Gasum’s compressor stations are unmanned and remotely controlled from the central control room. Some of the compressor units are equipped with dry gas seals.

Miniature, solid-state gas compressor
Review of Scientific Instruments, 1987A concept for a miniature, solid-state gas compressor is examined. The device operates by the phased activation of voltage-driven, electrostrictive ceramic blocks along a compression channel wherein a confined elastomer provides a motion-amplifying medium for peristaltically closing the compression channel. The device is also self-valving.

Running Feed Gas Compressor without Atmospheric Gas
Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition & Conference, 2017Abstract ADGAS LNG Plant 26 contains two identical multi-wheel single stage Centrifugal Compressors. Their function is to compress atmospheric gas from ADMA to 2.0 barg pressure. The compressor is designed for running parallel both, in load sharing mode by master pressure control to be able to maintain Atmospheric gas pressure at about ...
