Interfacial Micropancakes: Gas or Contaminations?

Langmuir, 2022
Micropancake, a flat domain with micrometer-scale lateral size and a few nanometer thickness, is usually accompanied by the generation of interfacial nanobubbles at the liquid/solid surfaces. Unlike the nanobubbles, micropancakes are difficult to be produced efficiently, impeding further investigations of their mysterious properties.

Contaminated Gas - Past, Present and Future

International Petroleum Technology Conference, 2007
Abstract In an age where there is increasing concern for safety and the environment, why is there such interest in developing gas resources contaminated with high concentrations of H2S and CO2? This paper traces the history of contaminated gas production and explores the reasons why it has now become a focus for ...

SO3 contamination in gas turbines

2021

Blending Optimization of Contaminated Gas in a Miscible Gas Flood

International Petroleum Technology Conference, 2007
Abstract We describe an oil and gas production optimization field application of a miscible gasflood for a cluster of oil reservoirs in South Oman. A portion of the produced sour gas from different reservoirs will be processed as sales gas and the extracted CO2 and H2S will be blended with the remaining produced gas

Influence of contaminants on gas nitriding

Surface Engineering, 1996
Machining of steels not only affects the shape of the workpiece, but also influences surface structure and composition. At elevated temperatures and pressures during machining or the subsequent cleaning process cooling lubricants, hydraulic oils, machine greases, and cleaning residues can form stable adsorption or reaction layers.

Contaminant Detection by Soil Gas Surveys

1995
Leachates leaking from damaged landfills and leaky sewerage systems represent a potential threat of groundwater pollution and become more and more a matter of common and public concern. Old landfills with no or insufficient leachate collection systems and leaky sewerage systems allow waste degradation products, including leachates and gases, to ...
