Associated petroleum gas measurement at low gas content using PIS method

, 2019
It is difficult to measure the amount of associated petroleum gas (APG) generated during the production of crude oil with low gas content. To solve this problem, a new method called phase-isolation and separation (PIS) method was developed.

Determination method of shale gas content: A case study in the Ordos Basin, China

Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, 2019
Three shale samples, which were from MF-1 well (a) and MF-2 well (b) in the northern Ordos Basin of China and Yan'an Formation of Jurassic coal measure strata of J601 well (c) in the western edge of the Ordos Basin, were taken for thermal simulation and ...

Occurrence features and gas content analysis of marine and continental shales: A comparative study of Longmaxi Formation and Yanchang Formation

Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering, 2018
To study the occurrence state and content of shale gas in different depositional environments, 15 marine shale samples from Longmaxi Formation in the Sichuan Basin and 15 continental shale samples from Yanchang Formation in the Ordos Basin were sampled ...

On factors affecting coalbed gas content measurement

Measurement, 2018
Coalbed gas content measurement is important for both unconventional gas recovery and mining safety. This study experimentally discussed factors affecting coalbed gas content measurement. It is found that small coal particles demonstrated high desorption

Oxygen Content of Purified Argon Gas

Nature, 1964
SINCE most high-temperature chemical systems are sensitive to small partial pressures of oxygen in argon, which is commonly used as an inert atmosphere, it is of interest to know the oxygen content of the argon used, at least to within an order of magnitude.

Energy content of hydrocarbon gas mixtures typical of natural gas

Energy, 1989
Abstract The principles of group additivity are applied to the problem of determining the energy content of a mixture of hydrocarbons typically found in natural gas. With proper selection of the groups, the energy content of these mixtures (within 2 ppt) is shown to depend on only one variable.
