This study investigates laser metal deposition of aluminum alloys EN AW‐7075 and EN AW‐5083, using powder blending to compensate zinc and magnesium evaporation. In situ alloying and ex situ alloying with ZnAl12 and AZ91 preserve near‐standard compositions and improve mechanical properties.

Research on the Explosive Characteristics of Oil and Gas Mixture in Urban Drainage Pipeline
To test explosive characteristics of the oil and gas mixture in urban drainage pipeline, we select six groups of the mixtures with different proportions of gasoline, methane and water, use 20L explosive ball experimental device in testing explosion rules

The First Supernova Explosions in the Universe
We investigate the supernova explosions that end the lives of massive Population III stars in low-mass minihalos (M~10^6 M_sun) at redshifts z~20. Employing the smoothed particle hydrodynamics method, we carry out numerical simulations in a cosmological ...

Through direct application of porous transport layer (PTL) on the bipolar plate (BPP) with thermal spraying, the interfacial contact resistance is improved. With the cold gas sprayed BPP–PTL coating system, a proton exchange membrane water electrolysis cell with a cell voltage of Ucell = 1.9 V can be operated up to i = 2.5 A/cm2 in a dynamic mode ...

Experimental study on gas explosion induced by caving friction of goaf roof
The collision and friction between the rock masses during the caving of the gob roof has become an important hidden danger to induce the gas explosion accident in the gob.

Recovery from population III supernova explosions and the onset of second generation star formation
We use cosmological simulations to assess how the explosion of the first stars in supernovae (SNe) influences early cosmic history. Specifically, we investigate the impact by SNe on the host systems for Population~III (Pop~III) star formation and explore

This work presents a continuous linear gradient catalyst layer design, a general strategy for improving membrane electrode assemblies across electrochemical devices. Fabricated via a dual‐nozzle spray coating method, the architecture controls the Pt/carbon ratio, ionomer content and ionomer type across the catalyst layer, enhancing proton conduction ...

New evidence on the origin of the microquasar GRO J1655-40 [PDF]
Aims. Motivated by the new determination of the distance to the microquasar GRO J1655-40 by Foellmi et al. (2006), we conduct a detailed study of the distribution of the atomic and molecular gas, and dust around the open cluster NGC 6242, the possible ...
