Analysis of advancing speed effect in gas safety extraction channels and pressure-relief gas extraction

Fuel, 2020
Abstract Combined with the coal mining process of a high gas coal mine in Jinzhong, Shanxi Province, this paper discussed the evolution mechanism of the gas safety extraction channels induced by the mining of overburden fissures in the fully mechanized mining working face and carried out the physical similar simulation test.

Oil and gas in Lebanon: Extract or do not extract?

2015 International Mediterranean Gas and Oil Conference (MedGO), 2015
There is a widespread belief in Lebanon that hydrocarbons extraction can bring substantial benefits to the economy and the standard of living of its citizens. Using Computer Assisted Qualitative Data Analysis Software (CAQDAS), NVivo10, six experts' opinions are analyzed to identify some crucial issues related to the conditions of achieving potential ...

THE SOLVENT EXTRACTION OF CRUDE MUSTARD GAS

Canadian Journal of Research, 1947
Equilibrium studies with low-boiling hydrocarbon fractions and crude mustard gas indicate that the latter can be extracted to give product purities of approximately 92.5% with 95% recovery. These values have been verified in the operation of a pilot plant for continuous counter-current extraction of crude mustard gas.

Feature extraction of gas sensor signals for gas source localization

2019 IEEE International Symposium on Olfaction and Electronic Nose (ISOEN), 2019
This paper explores which signal features of a gas sensor are optimum for assessing the proximity to a gas source in an open environment. Specifically, we compare three statistical descriptors of the signal (mean, variance and maximum response) against the ‘bout’ frequency, a feature computed in the derivative of the response.

A microbiological study of an underground gas storage in the process of gas extraction

Microbiology, 2007
The numbers of microorganisms belonging to ecologically significant groups and the rates of terminal microbial processes of sulfate reduction and methanogenesis were determined in the liquid phase of an underground gas storage (UGS) in the period of gas extraction.

Gas-Expanded Liquids Extraction

2023
Gas Expanded Liquids (GXL) are mixtures of liquid solvents (organic, water) and gases or supercritical fluids with diverse physicochemical properties halfway between pure liquids and supercritical fluids. The possibility of changing their properties by introducing small changes in pressure, temperature, and/or solvent/gas ratio, makes these solvents a ...

Liquefaction of Biomass by Supercritical Gas Extraction

Energy Sources, 2001
Verbascum and sunflower stalks mill were converted to liquid products by using organic solvents (methanol, ethanol, and acetone) with catalysts (%10 NaOH) and without catalysts in an autoclave at temperatures of 533 and 573 K for verbascum and 523 and 563 K for sunflower. The liquid products were extracted by liquid-liquid extraction (benzene and ...

On-line coupling of extraction with gas chromatography

Journal of Chromatography A, 2008
A recent trend in the development of analytical methodologies is the integration of the sample preparation step directly with the chromatographic system. In integrated on-line systems, extraction, clean-up, separation and detection are connected with each other and the whole analytical procedure takes place in a closed, usually automated system.
