A Carbon-rich Disk Surrounding a Planetary-mass Companion
During the final assembly of gas giant planets, circumplanetary disks (CPDs) of gas and dust form due to the conservation of angular momentum, providing material to be accreted onto the planet and the ingredients for moons. The composition of these disks

A new monolayer insulator, InO2, is synthesized by intercalating indium beneath patterned epitaxial graphene on SiC, followed by high‐temperature oxidation. This selective confinement yields large‐area, uniform InO2 with a wide bandgap of 4.1 eV. Upon intercalation, the EG/n‐SiC junction transitions from ohmic to Schottky, exhibiting a rectification ...

Strain Engineering of Ge Quantum Wells in Planar Ge/Si1 − xGex Heterostructures
Germanium is explored as a promising semiconductor for quantum applications due to long hole spin coherence, superconducting correlations, and CMOS compatibility. This work investigates in‐plane and out‐of‐plane strain in Ge quantum wells embedded in Si1 − xGex barriers to engineer the electronic properties of the wells.
