Effect of a gas-vortex stabilization method on the kinematic properties of the jet in metal-cutting plasmatrons [PDF]
Various methods of gas-vortex stabilization in plasma cutting torches are investigated. The results of the study demonstrate the dependence of the angle of gas injection into the nozzle on the kinematic and kinetic characteristics of plasma jet and ...

Ultrasmall Platinum Nanoparticles for Radiation‐Enhanced Cancer Therapy
This work proposes a nanomedicine‐based strategy to enhance X‐ray radiotherapy for cancer treatment. Ultrasmall Pt‐NPs exhibit catalase‐like activity that may contribute to modulation of the tumor microenvironment and amplify interactions between radiation and biological matter, leading to increased DNA damage.

A fully transparent, all‐metal‐oxide neuromorphic transistor using a sodium‐embedded alumina (SEA) electrolyte is demonstrated. By precisely tuning the thermal annealing process, the chemical composition of the SEA layer is controlled, allowing for the deterministic realization of both short‐term and long‐term synaptic plasticity within the same device

Flowing gas, non-nuclear experiments on the gas core reactor [PDF]
Flow tests were conducted on models of the gas core (cavity) reactor. Variations in cavity wall and injection configurations were aimed at establishing flow patterns that give a maximum of the nuclear criticality eigenvalue.
