Steering Oxygen Activation Pathways via Redox Dual‐Defects in 2D Hydrated WO3 for High‐Yield Singlet Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Redox dual‐defects (Cs substitution and O vacancies) in 2D hydrated WO3 steer O2 activation toward selective singlet oxygen evolution. WO‐CO achieves 8.6–15.8 times higher 1O2 production than single‐defect or pristine catalysts, enabling efficient pollutant mineralization via a pathway‐selective photocatalytic mechanism.

Interface Effects in Ultrathin Silicon on Insulator Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work establishes a systematic framework to discriminate how bulk and interface phenomena affect charge transport in ultrathin P‐doped silicon‐on‐insulator (SOI) films. For Si films below 15 nm, electrical characterization demonstrates that interface states drive charge transport, shifting the metal‐insulator transition (MIT) critical dopant ...

Support‐Controlled Reaction Pathways via Dynamic Sulfur‐Mediated Interfaces for Selective Urea Electrolysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Sulfur‐doped graphitized carbon nanofibers act as adaptive catalyst–support platforms, enabling dynamic sulfur‐mediated reconstruction and strong metal–support interactions. This unique behavior enhances catalyst stability and controls reaction pathways, achieving highly selective urea oxidation (∼92% N2) coupled with efficient hydrogen evolution ...

A Study on the Displacement Mechanism of Nitrogen Injection to Enhance Recovery in Water-Drive Gas Reservoirs: A Collaborative Analysis of Experiment and Simulation

open access: yesGeosciences
The efficient extraction of natural gas from water-drive reservoirs is often hindered by premature water breakthrough and the consequent trapping of significant residual gas, which collectively result in suboptimal recovery and economic returns ...

Oil-gas-water three-phase upward flow through a vertical pipe: Influence of gas injection on the pressure gradient

open access: yes, 2012
LtdAn experimental study of three-phase flow in a vertical pipe with 50 mm diameter has been carried out. The experiments were conducted under the input superficial phase velocity: water from 0 to 0.885 m/s, oil from 0 to 0.90 m/s and gas from 0 to 0.85 ...

Shaping Matter with Acoustic Waves: From Particles to Functional Structures

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Acoustic‐directed assembly is reviewed as a materials‐oriented strategy for organizing particles, polymers, metals, and biological systems into functional structures. The review distinguishes reversible manipulation from permanent structure formation through medium fixation, particle fixation, and in situ material generation, highlighting routes toward
