A gas-permeable photoacoustic cell
Photosynthesis Research, 1991A photoacoustic cell assembly is described that is permeable to CO2 and other gases but not water vapor. As a replacement for the usually employed solid cover, this cell uses a cover containing a small fritted glass disk that holds a small piece of 6.4 μm Teflon film against the sample. With the above arrangement it was possible to increase the rate of ...

Abstract Till now, condensate reservoir engineers in China used substitute permeability curve, measured by unsteady-state method using model oil (kerosene etc.) and model gas (nitrogen etc.) system, to be basic input curve in numerical simulation and well testing. The typical interfacial tension of the model fluid system is about 30mN/m,

GAS PERMEABILITY OF POLY(ORGANOPHOSPHAZENES)
Journal of Materials Science Letters, 1987The gas permeability and oxygen-to-nitrogen selectivity were determined for some poly-(organophosphazenes). It was found from the data that the membrane having the highest gas permeability was [NP(NHPrn)(NEt2)] n , which had 1.5 x 10−6cm3 (cm cm−2) s−1 (cm Hg)−1 to oxygen or 2.2 x 10−6cm3 (cm cm−2) s−1 (cm Hg)−1 to nitrogen.

Gas permeability of plant cuticles
Planta, 1982Cuticles from the adaxial surface of Citrus aurantium L. leaves and from the pericarp of Lycopersicon esculentum L. and Capsicum annuum L. were isolated enzymatically and their oxygen permeability was determined. Isolated cuticles were mounted between a gaseous and an aqueous compartment with the physiological outer side of the membrane facing the ...

Conditions and special features of methane release from the gas-bearing coal massifs into preparatory workings or preliminary degassing wells are given in the paper. The results are presented related to studying gas permeability of the coal seams and indicators of their gas recovery into the seam workings and wells at the depths of 270–560 m from the ...

Abstract Over the last 20 years, increasing emphasis (and clinical dependence) has been placed on materialproperties as a means of meeting daily and extended wear contact lens requirements. Oxygen transmissivity remains high on that list of properties.

Abstract The permeability is one of the most fundamental properties of any reservoir rock required for modeling hydrocarbon production. However, the shale permeability has not yet been fully understood because of the complexities involved in modeling flow through nanoscale throats.

Gas permeability of porous silicon nanostructures
Physical Review E, 2004The gas (air and hydrogen) flow through porous silicon ( PS ) nanostructures is studied. Being well described by Darcy's law, the gas flow measurements allow us to deduce PS permeability values, which are measured to be 10(-16) - 10(-15) m(2), corresponding to the 50-70% porosity range.
