ABSTRACT This study investigates how directors with environmental protection (EP) backgrounds influence corporate biodiversity concern (BIO) among Chinese A‐share listed firms from 2008 to 2023. Drawing on Upper Echelons Theory, we argue that directors' environmental expertise shapes firms' biodiversity strategies.

ABSTRACT The transition to a circular economy (CE) has become a strategic priority for firms, yet empirical assessments of corporate circularity remain fragmented and heavily dependent on structured indicators or self‐reported metrics. This paper proposes a novel, text‐based circularity index derived from mandatory non‐financial statements of large ...

ABSTRACT Sustainability reports (SRs) are widely criticized for vague disclosures and selective emphasis on positive outcomes, yet systematic research on two core SR challenges remains limited: materiality (whether disclosed content is relevant) and balance (whether both achievements and challenges are reported).

Pipeline crawler development for mapping gas pipeline topology
2021 American Control Conference (ACC), 2021Accurate geographic location of a pipeline is important information for pipeline maintenance and leak detection. Usually, the geographic location of a pipeline on the ground can be measured directly by global positioning system (GPS) technology, but it is much difficult to determine the geographic location of an underground pipeline.

Leak Localization of Gas Pipeline Based on the Combination of EEMD and Cross-Spectrum Analysis
IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, 2022Pipeline transportation systems play an increasingly essential role in the development of the economy. An accurate location of leakage is important to reduce economic losses and maintain the safe operation of pipelines.

Failure analysis of a natural gas pipeline subjected to landslide
Engineering Failure Analysis, 2021This paper presents the results of failure analysis of a 16-in. natural gas pipeline that ruptured due to ground movement caused by a 40 m wide landslide.

We use the uniform sampling method to study shocks and spikes in transient flow in gas pipelines. The method is well suited for this purpose. Both shocks and spikes tend to be masked by the use of a conventional damping term known as Moody friction. They are also masked by standard numerical schemes.
