Polymer/Gas Clathrates for Gas Storage and Controlled Release

Macromolecules, 2006
The nanoporous crystalline phase of a cheap commercial polymer shows, already at room temperature, large uptake of gas molecules (e.g., butadiene and carbon dioxide) leading to polymer/gas clathrate phases. These clathrate phases have been characterized by X-ray diffraction and infrared linear dichroism measurements.

Clay Basin Storage Project-Development Of A Nearly Depleted Gas Reservoir To Gas Storage

SPE Rocky Mountain Regional Meeting, 1978
Abstract A study of the Dakota formation in the Clay Basin field determined the potential gas storage capabilities and the level of development required to provide gas storage service. In general, this paper discusses the steps involved from analysis of the potential of the Dakota formation for gas storage to full ...

Gas Storage Hedging

2012
Gas storage hedging based on conditional delta is presented in this paper. Algorithms to calculate hedging strategies are detailed. Some numerical results for fast and seasonal storages show the efficiency of the method compared with finite difference.

Strategic interaction in ratcheted gas storage

2009 7th IEEE International Conference on Industrial Informatics, 2009
Natural gas storage facilities form critical components in the energy networks of most industrialized nations. Storage facilities are typically very large underground salt caverns or depleted gas reservoirs that have undergone an expensive conversion process.

STORAGE OF NATURAL GAS IN SALT CAVERNS

Proceedings of SPE Northern Plains Section Regional Meeting, 1975
American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers, Inc. Discussion of this paper is invited. Three copies of any discussion should be sent to the Society of Petroleum Engineers office. Such discussion may be presented at the above meeting and, with the paper, may be considered for publication in one of the two SPE ...
