Spatiotemporal Co‐Delivery of Hydrogen and Magnesium via Microneedle Patches for Neuroinflammation Modulation After Spinal Cord Injury: A Multi‐Modal In Vivo Study

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
A spatiotemporal co‐delivery microneedle system (MN‐Mg) is developed for spinal cord injury repair. By generating hydrogen gas and magnesium ions in situ, this dual‐engine platform effectively scavenges ROS and modulates microglial polarization via the MAPK/AP‐1 signaling axis.

Gas vesicles in actinomycetes?

Trends in Microbiology, 2006
Gas vesicles encoded by gvp genes provide buoyancy in many prokaryotes. In a recent Trends in Microbiology article entitled 'Gas vesicles in actinomycetes: old buoys in novel habitats?' van Keulen et al. documented the occurrence of gvp genes in soil-inhabiting actinomycetes but questioned whether any of them produce gas vesicles.

Gas‐Constructed Vesicles with Gas‐Moldable Membrane Architectures

Angewandte Chemie International Edition, 2019
AbstractIntegrating gas as a main building block into nanomaterial construction is a challenging mission that remains elusive. Herein, we report a gas‐constructed vesicular system formed by CO2 gas and frustrated Lewis pairs (FLPs). Two molecular triads bearing three bulky borane and phosphine groups are designed as trivalent disc‐like FLP monomers ...
