A room‐temperature vanadium cation exchange strategy is developed to achieve simultaneous structural reconstruction and electronic/defect modulation of ZIF‐67 on nickel foam. The resulting mesoporous V20–Co(OH)2 electrode exhibits superior OER activity with low overpotentials and enhanced lattice oxygen participation.

An assessment of atmospheric mercury in the Community Multiscale Air Quality (CMAQ) model at an urban site and a rural site in the Great Lakes Region of North America [PDF]
Quantitative analysis of three atmospheric mercury species – gaseous elemental mercury (Hg0), reactive gaseous mercury (RGHg) and particulate mercury (PHg) – has been limited to date by lack of ambient measurement data as well as ...

Plant‐based nanomaterials derived from alfalfa serve as dual‐function catalysts, coupling photodegradation and phytoremediation to degrade polyethylene under UV‐A light and in soil. The nanomaterials work synergistically with alfalfa and soil microbes, achieving efficient plastic breakdown without trophic transfer.

Mercury in ambient air: a review on sources, speciation, legislation and measurement methods
Mercury being a neurotoxin poses great threat to the human health as well as environment. It is emitted into the atmosphere through both natural and anthropogenic sources and can travel long distances over time before being scavenged and deposited in the

Circumpolar transport and air-surface exchange of atmospheric mercury at Ny-Ålesund (79° N), Svalbard, spring 2002 [PDF]
Mercury in different environmental compartments has been measured at Ny-Ålesund (78°54' N, 11°53' E) during an intensive campaign, 17 April to 14 May 2002.

Iridium single atoms and Cr doping synergistically activate and stabilise the lattice oxygen oxidation mechanism in CoFe layered double hydroxides. Electronic modulation enhances metal–oxygen covalency, suppresses over‐oxidation, and enables durable oxygen evolution, delivering high‐performance anion exchange membrane water electrolysis with ...

The use of fly ash to stabilise low concentrations of mercury in the environment
The work investigates if fly ash from Ekibatuz Power Plant can stabilise low concentrations of mercury in the environment and prevent it from becoming soluble in water and in preventing it transforming into the methylated form. The work demonstrates that

Pt@Cu/CuO heterostructures were designed for electrochemical N─N coupling of 3,5‐diamino‐1H‐1,2,4‐triazole. Mechanism investigation revealed that the Pt sites mediated co‐adsorption of substrates and hydroxyl on Cu/CuO sites. The elaborate Pt@Cu/CuO achieved an ultralow working potential of 0.832 VRHE with a high FE of 95%. A long‐term stability of 600

A Survey of Mercury in Air and Precipitation across Canada: Patterns and Trends
Atmospheric mercury (Hg) measurements from across Canada were compiled and analysed as part of a national Hg science assessment. Here we update long-term trends of Hg in air and precipitation, and present more extensive measurements on patterns and ...
